Version 1.0Effective 1 November 2026

In short: RankingLab rankings are our independent, honestly held opinion, formed by applying a published methodology to the evidence available to us. We work hard to get them right and we stand behind them. They are not statements of absolute fact, not advice and not accreditation, and no one has a right to be included in them or to have them changed.

Who we are

RankingLab ("RankingLab", "we", "us") is an independent, non-commercial research and publication project. We publish rankings, research and commentary on https://rankinglab.org, free of charge, as an expression of our own views on matters of public interest. We have no commercial activity: we sell nothing, carry no advertising, charge no one, and do not, at this stage, receive funding for our rankings. We act on our own behalf and on our own judgment, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any institution, company, ranking publisher, accreditation body or government.

To protect the independence of our work from outside influence, the people behind RankingLab are not named on this site. Editorial responsibility for every publication rests with RankingLab, through its editorial panel.

Contact and notices

Our only point of contact, for all purposes including legal notices, is hi@rankinglab.org. We do not publish a postal address or telephone number.

What a ranking is

Every RankingLab ranking, score, position, band and assessment is an expression of opinion: the considered judgment of our editorial panel, formed by applying our published Methodology, including weighted criteria and editorial judgment, to the information available to us at the time of assessment.

  • Honestly held. Each ranking reflects the opinion genuinely held by our editorial panel when it was published, on the basis of the facts available to us at that time.
  • Research and judgment combined. Our rankings combine AI-assisted research, verified by people, with independent human research and the editorial judgment of doctoral-level experts. How evidence is weighed is a matter of expert judgment on which reasonable people may differ.
  • Facts and judgments are different things. Data points we report, such as a program's duration or an entity's accreditations, are drawn from cited sources as of the date of research. Positions, scores and assessments are judgments built on those facts. They are not statements of fact capable of being proved true or false.
  • Not a single absolute truth. We do not claim that any ranking is the only correct view. We do aim for the highest standard of objectivity, diligence and fairness that our method allows, and we apply that method consistently to every entity in a ranking.
  • Point in time. Each ranking speaks as of its edition and date. Entities change, and a ranking is not a statement about any entity at any other time.
  • You are free to disagree. Readers, and ranked entities, are free to reach different conclusions. Our rankings are offered as one informed perspective.

Why we publish

We publish rankings because we believe that independent, evidence-based assessment of education, training and professional services in the AI era serves the public interest: it helps learners, employers and organizations make better-informed choices, and it encourages quality.

Top entries only

RankingLab rankings list the entities we judge to be the strongest within the scope of each ranking. They are not exhaustive. An entity may be absent because it is outside a ranking's scope or research cycle, because the available evidence was insufficient, because it did not pass verification, or because, in our judgment, others ranked higher. Absence from a ranking is not a statement, finding or suggestion of any kind about an entity. We do not publish the reasons why any entity is absent or was excluded. A lower position within a ranking is not a criticism of any entity.

No right to be ranked

No institution, program, company or other entity has a right to be assessed, included, ranked at any position, reassessed or removed. Decisions on scope, eligibility, inclusion and position are made by RankingLab at its sole discretion, under its methodology.

Correspondence about a ranking

We do not invite or solicit requests from the entities we rank, and our rankings do not depend on them. Anyone who nonetheless believes that a published fact is wrong may write to hi@rankinglab.org. Such correspondence is governed by the Review Requests & Corrections Policy. In short:

  • We are not obliged to reply, to review anything, to give reasons, or to add, move, rescore or remove any entry.
  • Where we are satisfied that a published fact is demonstrably wrong, we correct it. Positions, scores and other editorial judgments are not changed on request.
  • Attempts to obtain a result through payment, pressure or threats are recorded and may lead to exclusion.

Not advice, not accreditation

Our rankings are general information. They are not admissions, career, hiring, procurement, investment, legal or professional advice, and they are not a recommendation to enroll in, buy from, hire, partner with or invest in any entity. RankingLab is not an accreditor, regulator or recognition body: inclusion does not mean that an entity is accredited, licensed or fit for any particular purpose, and absence does not mean the opposite. Anyone making a decision should consult official sources and form their own judgment. You use our rankings at your own discretion and risk.

Accuracy

We research carefully and verify facts against their sources. Even so, our rankings rely on information published by entities and third parties, which may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and our own research may contain errors. Information is provided as of the date of research and may change without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that any ranking or information is complete, accurate, current or suitable for any purpose.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RankingLab and everyone who takes part in it accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the publication of, reliance on, or use of our rankings or any other content, or from the inclusion, omission or position of any entity. The full terms, including the limits that apply where liability cannot be excluded, are in the Terms of Use. Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Names and marks

Names, logos and marks of institutions, companies and other organizations belong to their owners. We use names only to identify the entities we assess. Their use does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement of or by, RankingLab.
