In short: our rankings are independent research and do not depend on input from the entities we rank, so we do not solicit it. If you nonetheless believe a published fact is wrong, or that an entity was missed, you may write to us. We are not obliged to act on it. We correct published facts that we are satisfied are demonstrably wrong; rankings themselves remain our independent judgment.
Scope
This policy governs any correspondence about a RankingLab ranking, from any person or entity, including ranked, assessed and omitted entities. It does not create any right to a review, a reply or a change.
How to write to us
Correspondence about a ranking may be sent to hi@rankinglab.org. To be considered at all, it should identify the ranking, its edition (for example 2027.1) and the entry or entity concerned, state what is said to be wrong or missing, and include supporting evidence from public sources. Entities should write from an official address. Material sent to us is handled under section 7 of the Terms of Use and, where it includes personal data, under the Privacy Notice. There is no fee for anything under this policy.
What may happen
What happens next, if anything, is decided by RankingLab at its sole discretion:
- Published facts. Where we are satisfied that a fact we published is demonstrably wrong, we correct it. If the correction is material to an assessment, the editorial panel considers whether it affects the entry.
- Omissions. We may consider whether an entity falls within a ranking's scope and passes verification, in the current or a future research cycle.
- Concerns about conduct. Concerns about our conduct, process, independence or use of AI may be sent to hi@rankinglab.org. Where we find a breach of our policies, we act under the relevant policy.
What we do not undertake
- We do not undertake to reply to any correspondence, to review it within any period or at all, or to give reasons for any decision.
- We do not undertake to add, move, rescore or remove any entry, or to reassess any entity.
- Positions, scores and other editorial judgments are our independent opinion, formed under our published Methodology. They are not changed on request, and there is no right of appeal against them.
Corrections log
Corrections that change a published fact, score or position are recorded on the Updates page with the date, the ranking and edition affected, and a short description of the change. We do not silently change results.
What we will never do
- Change a result because of payment, pressure, threats or offers of benefit. Such approaches are recorded, handled under the Independence & Conflict of Interest Policy, and may lead to exclusion of the entity concerned.
- Disclose individual assessors' scores.
- Publish the identity of a member of the public who wrote to us, unless they ask us to.
